Problem Note 61323: Duplicate checking in SAS® IT Resource Management returns "ERROR: Variable idvarname is not on file libref.adpCNTRL"
If you specify an IDVAR variable name that is greater than 8 characters in length, then you might see an error similar to the following:
ERROR: Variable idvarname is not on file libref.adpCNTRL.
The italics in the error message above represents dynamic text. Here is additional information about those terms:
- idvarname: Refers to the IDVAR variable that was defined to be used for duplicate checking
- libref: Refers to the library reference that is associated with the collector
- adp: Is the name associated with the data source or adapter
To obtain a fix for this issue, contact SAS Technical Support.
A future release of SAS IT Resource Management will support long IDVAR names (up to 32 bytes).
